Please respond to the following prompts:
1. Summarize the key points you learned from this Professional Development experience.
I learned that I needed to gather documents/evidence during student teaching. To collect
student work samples that shows the effectiveness of my abilities. To create happenings to
secure me later. That is, Thematic Units, extracurricular activities, and outside the box
strategies. Create lesson that allow me to shine during evaluations, critiques, and references.
Build positive relationships with everyone around me. To have a positive interview attitude.
Show up with an attitude to get the job done. Administrators are looking for boosts not
bugs. My confidence is important. Im new, Im not perfect, show willingness to learn. Ask
questions and admit that I have much to learn.

2. Discuss how these key points connect to your content area.
These key points connect to my content area because I need to show up every day with the
attitude that I can get the job done. I need the confidence to change the negative stigma
towards mathematics.

3. Share how you might use this new information in your future classroom.
I will use one key point well in my future classroom. The point that I have much to learn. I will
ask many of my peers to help me become more of an effective teacher. The best resources are
teachers who have been in the profession for years. I will ask multiple questions to help me. I
will show a willingness to learn new ideas and strategies.
