announces the following vacancy beginning in the 2006-2007 season
3 RD FRENCH HORN AND UTILITY HORN (approx. 75 services per season) along with possible unconducted Ensemble services (Woodwind, Brass Ensembles, etc.)
Auditions will be held Sunday, September 17, 2006 from 1:30 - 4:00pm at the Cleveland Insti- tute of Music, Studio TBA, 11021 East Blvd., Cleveland, OH. Preliminary auditions will be held 1:30 - 3:30pm, with the final round beginning immediately after.
Per service rate for the 3 rd Horn and Utility Horn position is $87.85 for the 2006-2007 season. Per service rate for Ensemble services is $87.85. Some services require daytime availability.
Repertoire for the audition includes a solo work for the French Horn plus the following 1st horn part (unless specified) excerpts: Brahms Symphony No. 1 - 2nd mvmt. Brahms Piano Concerto No. 2 (3 rd horn part) Mahler Symphony No. 5 - 3rd mvmt. (obligato horn part) Shostakovich Symphony No. 5 - High solo & 1st mvmt, begin at Largamente Strauss Don Juan Till Eulenspiegel - 13 before #29 - 6 before #29 (3rd horn part) Wagner Siegfried's Rhine Journey - Long & Short Horn Calls
