Autostereoscopic 3-D display

Autostereoscopy is a method of 3-D display that used to

view any 3-D content without the use of 3-D glasses. The
existing technology is single view autostereoscopy in which
only one person can enjoy 3-D content. But, the multiview
helps to make 3-D content viewable for many users. A new
format is needed for multiview display. So, multiview is
potentially generated by the process of view synthesis. They
certain quality issues that affect multiview conversion. They
are geometric symmetry, color symmetry, temporal symmetry
etc... Geometry symmetry is caused by problem in the
alignment of cameras that cause geometry distortion. Color
symmetry is due to disparity in calibration of two images that
would be combined to get the 3-D view. Temporal symmetry
is caused by use of asynchronous cameras to capture the two
images. By solving these issues we can improve the quality of
3-D transmissions.
