The band members posing in the image are all wearing black because of its typical relation

and connotations to the metal genre it also represents the themes of a lot of their albums and
in terms of promotional efforts they are clearly trying to appeal to people in their late teens
trying to look cool hence the posing and the focus on all of their tattoos which appeal to
teenagers. The black background centres all of the focus on the band members themselves
drawing more attention to their features and ensuring that they are the only focus. The lead
singer is in the middle and the other band members are even distributed to the left and right
which would indicate that he has the front man is more important and is being supported by
the other band members at the same time the lack of distance between them indicates a
closeness to the group which is done to increase fan loyalty by displaying the attribute
themselves in the poster. In the poster all of the band members eyes are obscured and you
can't see them this to create a mystique of mysteriousness to make people intrigued and
notice them and ultimately that's the goal of a poster as it tends to be for promotional
benefits. The image has clearly been edited to help with the blacking out of the background
but also to give the band members a yellowish tint by raising the saturation and the contrast
so that the colour of their skin would flare out and be more eye catching as well as creating
an effect where they look slightly sinister which could be to help reinforce the bands
identity with its band name that being Avenged Sevenfold. The logo is deliberately brightly
coloured and done in a way so that it contrasts with the rest of the image so that it draws as
much attention as the band members themselves do as well as to balance some of the
negative connotations of having all of the black in the background it is put in the centre
lower than the band members so that you can still look at the band members uninhibited but
the logo is seen as ust as important the font is bold and in capital letters so that it umps out
at people on a first glance.
