George Amedore Lies About Record Opposing
Equal Pay For Equal Work
Extremist George Amedore Claims He Did Not Vote Against Equal
Pay 10 Times; Records Show He's lying

(Schenectady, NY) At yesterdays debate in Proctors Theater, former-Assemblyman George Amedore lied about
his record. Amedore claimed that he did not vote against equal pay for equal work 10 times, despite the fact that
voting records clearly demonstrate he did.

George Amedores opposition to womens fundamental rights, including the right to earn equal pay for equal work,
is an extremist position that has no place in the State Senate, Senator Cecilia Tkaczyk said. Now, George is
trying to lie his way out of trouble by claiming he did not actually vote against womens equal pay protections ten
times during his three terms in the State Assembly, but he can't hide from his record. On one of those bills, in fact,
he was one of only three "NO" votes in the 150-member Assembly. Almost every other Assemblymember,
Democrat and Republican alike, voted for pay equity and for women -- but not George.

When challenged by Senator Tkaczyk about his 10 votes against womens equal pay for equal work protections,
George Amedore outrageously lied about his voting record and said that he did not vote against this common sense,
overwhelmingly supported legislation 10 times. Despite George Amedores shameless attempts to misstate the facts
and lie to the public, the truth of his extremist voting record leaves no doubt as to just how anti-woman he is and just
how many times he voted against equal pay for equal work.
