History
The association was created in 1999
Since its beggining they have provided
support for Brazil nut harvesters and to the
rainforest.
Helped Peru install their first conservation
concession in 2001.
Established offices in Washington, DC and La
Paz, Bolivia.

Mission
Our mission is to conserve the biological
diversity of the Amazon
Save rare species.
Preserve natural habitat.
Vision
Protect the rainforest and its biodiversity.
By creating a network of state, community
and private lands managed for conservation of
resources.
Work with governments, nonprofit
organizations and people that need the
rainforest to live.

Brazil nut program.
Cloud forest programs.
The Manu Tambopata Conservation
Corridor.
The association focus more on Peru and
Bolivia, but they also work in Brazil.
The Manu
Protects an area of 520 thousand acre.
One of the most biologically diverse regions in
the world and considered as a global
conservation priority.
Brazil Nut Program
Aim to understand the Brazilian nut trees
biology.
Help harvesters improve their techniques.
Protected more than 1.5 million acres of forest
form deforestation.
Helped more than 400 families that depends
on harvesting in financial terms.
Developed more than 370 sustainable forest
managment plans.
Opinion
The Amazon Conservation Association does a
great job prevating the deforestation of the
rainforest.
They preserve the biological diversity and
habitats in a huge area.

Opinion
I would be willing to help this organization.
The association helped people financially
(Brazil Nut Program) and helped mantain
biodiversity.
