1.

Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them (I can solve difficult problems
without giving up.)
My goal this semester is to grow in this area by taking the extra time to solve the problem.
I will do this by I will not give up and pass the problem onto someone else I will continue to
try the problem until I am sure i have no idea how to solve it.
I will be able to measure my growth in this area by continuing to solve difficult problems and
when I can some several of them continually I will know I have made progress.

2. Reason abstractly and quantitatively. (I can think about numbers in many ways.)
My goal this semester is to grow in this area by actually thinking about numbers in different
ways. Thinking about numbers is not a subconscious thought.
I will do this by trying to envision math in everything I do.
I will be able to measure my growth in this area by using numbers in things i havent used
them in before such as work.

3. Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others. (I can explain my
thinking and try to understand others.)
My goal this semester is to grow in this area by sharing my ideas. Im not good at sharing
my thinking but I do look to improve.
I will do this by either opening the conversation or regularly adding on to it.
I will be able to measure my growth in this area by realizing that I am now talking to the
group.

4. Model with mathematics. (I can show my work in many ways.)
My goal this semester is to grow in this area by using math in all my models and project but
only slightly show it.
I will do this by practicing my mathematics.
I will be able to measure my growth in this area by observing how well I integrated math into
my projects.

5. Use appropriate tools strategically. (I can use math tools and explain why I chose
them.)
My goal this semester is to grow in this area by learning all the formulas and knowing how
to use them.
I will do this by taking lots of notes in class
I will be able to measure my growth in this area by checking how many formulas I have
actually memorized..

6. Attend to precision. (I can work carefully and check my work.)
My goal this semester is to grow in this area by checking my work and solving it twice.
I will do this by using the math version of reverse engineering.
I will be able to measure my growth in this area by getting better grades on tests with little
to no errors.

7. Look for and make use of structure. (I can use what I already know to solve new
problems.)
My goal this semester is to grow in this area by use my notes to solve my problems.
I will do this by take lots of notes.
I will be able to measure my growth in this area by solving problems with ease.

8. Look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning. (I can solve problems by
looking for patterns and rules.)
My goal this semester is to grow in this area by quickly finding the patterns and rules in the
question/ previous problems.
I will do this by carefully observing the problems.
I will be able to measure my growth in this area by noticing how easy it is to solve the
problems.
