PROFILE
I am very interested in applying for a Vice Principal position in School District #23, and I would bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to this administrative position. I have currently been working with Scott McLean on various administration duties, and to this point I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenges presented to me. I have just recently been a part of the CSLC 2014 Committee, and I will bring the same work ethic and desire to serve others as I did in that capacity, to what I see are the challenges at being a strong administrator.

Domains of a Vice-Principal
Moral Stewardship: This domain covers a great deal of material; guiding, implementing, developing shared values, visions, and mission for supporting learning for students. In our physical education department I collaborated with my colleagues in helping plan our department's visions and goals. A rubric has been formed as a guide for student development. We then have the students self-evaluate their progress as the term proceeds. In our Football class I have lead the football coach through the process of planning and creating learning outcomes for the students. We collaborate, discuss and implement challenging outcomes to help support learning.
Instructional Leadership: In my A&W Math 11class I have challenged myself to use observation techniques to help the students gain knowledge in the area of study. I have incorporated white boards and I have instructed the students on using the attributes of a learner to help each other reach the prescribed learning outcomes
Relational Leadership: In the school setting I have helped established positive relationships by establish strong rapport with all students and all staff. In the school setting I have helped create a positive school culture by involving the Culinary Arts program into making team meals for the football and rugby programs. In the school setting I have included parents into being key members of our fundraising programs for football and rugby.
Organizational Leadership: I have supported school learning in this area by helping establish the football team's yearly excursion to Gold Beach, Oregon for a very educational team football camp. I have helped student engagement in weights and fitness class by using experienced lifters to support and spot for less experienced lifters. These experienced lifters also become mentors for those that are new at lifting techniques.
