Halloween Party!

THANK YOU to Sarah Hafer and Violet Apone for volunteering to work
in our classroom this week.

HALLOWEEN PARTY INFORMATION
Our classroom party will take place from 9:00-11:00am. We will be
parading with the kindergarten classes at 9:15am. Feel free to come
and take pictures of the parade! If you child wears his/her costume
to school, make sure to pack a change of clothes. Students will also
have time to change into their costume at school. We are still looking
for donations to make our Boo Breakfast a great success, click here
to sign-up to donate items and/or volunteer. Thanks in advance!
Notes
LITERACY
READING: Students are working on strategies to attack new words.
Students have a new Reading Log in their reading folder. This should
be easier to use if your child reads multiple books in an evening.
Students should be reading 20 minutes a night.

WRITING: Students are learning on how to make their stories come to
life by adding speech to their stories.


MATH
We are continuing Unit 3 this week. We got behind in math, so you will
notice that their is no math homework on Monday and Tuesday of this
week FYI: I will be assessing your child writing their numbers from
1-120 next week (11/7). You can have your child practice writing or
counting from 1-120.

NOVEMBER PARENT VOLUNTEER SIGN UP
Please click here for the November Parent Volunteer Sign-Up. I am in
need of 1-2 Friday Spelling Volunteers each week. I have six different
spelling groups and it is much easier if parents can take small groups
into the hall to give the various spelling tests.
