postponed until January- Thats all I know so far.
We only have to do three.
You can still prepare and collect data now. You just wont be able to
access the online platform (get classes selected) until January.
We will continue to prepare.
Please present lessons. You can work together if you want.
File limit is 10 MB. Files can be compressed. Tutorial videos are on
SharePoint.
Self-contained classes of students with disabilities can be chosen. If
students have trouble retaining information, growth can be shown
within a single class period. Explain background of class in
narrative.
Pre-assessment can be anything. Think of it as where students are at
point one.

Schedules
Principals have been told from HR (this applies to music, art, PE,
health, world languages):
1- teaching no more than seven classes a day,
2- need to have at least five minute transitions between classes,
3- you are supposed to have lunch, planning, and duties that
mirror other teachers in the building,
4- if you teach guided reading or some sort of tutoring class, that
is counted in your maximum of seven classes (no seven
music classes and one guided readings),
5- may not teach pre-K (not licensed, paid for by a fund that does
not cover you, occasionally acceptable if assimilated into
kindergarten class later on in the year)
If these things are happening, first notify principal that we had this
discussion. Try to find some way to correct it with the principal. If
there is no way you can work it out, let N. Street know so that he
can let HR know. There are sometimes extenuating circumstances
to those guidelines.
You only have to go to faculty meetings at your base school.
Dr. Oakley (executive director of pre-k-5 curriculum) says that if youre
teaching guided reading, you should not be planning (or gathering
resources) for it. It should be planned for you.
ASW reviewer report
There has to be a difference between point A and point B. If the students
do well on point A, its probably not a good objective to choose.
Point A- answers such as I dont know Point B- correct answers
Point A- blank paper Write down anything you know about topic.
Point A- first attempt at sight reading Point B- improvement after several
classes
