Attended a Technology Teacher Leaders Conference for the county.
(8 hrs). I was introduced to My Big Campus, Using the Splice App.,
and how to make Prezis.
ITSE NETS-C

1. Briefly describe the field experience.
What did you learn about technology
facilitation and leadership from
completing this field experience?

I went to a conference on how to
implement technology into the
classroom. These tools are
purchased or used by the county and
encouraged. I learned some new
tools and well as brushed up on ones
I have already learned. I was able to
come back to my team of teachers
and show them the new things I
learned as well as share what is
going to be mandatory for next year.

2. How did this learning relate to the
knowledge (what must you know),
skills (what must you be able to do)
and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology
facilitator or technology leader?
(Refer to the standards you selected in
Part I. Use the language of the PSC
standards in your answer and reflect
on all 3knowledge, skills, and
dispositions.)

This type of field experience was a form
of professional development that not
only I could take back as a teacher and
help with my students but also as a
technology coach for my school. In
order to use what I learned best, I would
have to make sure I was able to perform
the functions of My Big Campus, Splice
and Prezi and show teachers how to
implement.

3. Describe how this field experience
impacted school improvement, faculty
development or student learning at
your school. How can the impact be
assessed?

This field experience impacted my
school improvement because My Big
Campus will be made mandatory next
year, so it is incredibly important at least
one person per team knows how to use it
well to help colleagues. It also helps
student improvement because I was
learning valuable tools to incorporate in
lessons that are not as highly engaging.

Taught a teacher how to use Prezi and add voice over to it. (2 hrs.) ISTE NETS-C

1. Briefly describe the field experience.
What did you learn about technology
facilitation and leadership from
completing this field experience?

I taught my team leader how to
make a Prezi. She needed to do a
presentation in her curriculum

meeting and instead of using power
point, I suggested she use Prezi. She
was unfamiliar with this, so I
showed her how to use it. We took
the information that she had on the
power point and converted it to
Prezi. I then showed her how to
make MP3 files and attach it to the
path steps. I learned that teachers
are very excited about the new
technologies out there, but they
really need someone to show them if
they feel intimidated.

2. How did this learning relate to the
knowledge (what must you know),
skills (what must you be able to do)
and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology
facilitator or technology leader?
(Refer to the standards you selected in
Part I. Use the language of the PSC
standards in your answer and reflect
on all 3knowledge, skills, and
dispositions.)

This field experience crossed over to the
previous field experience on this sheet. I
was able to learn about a particular
program and affectively coach another
colleague. I was able to help trouble
shoot and show her how to navigate the
basics of Prezi easily. I had to be patient
in showing her and when she asked
questions. Knowing I could not answer
everything, I showed her to the technical
support page. She was very excited
about the collaboration we made in this
project.

3. Describe how this field experience
impacted school improvement, faculty
development or student learning at
your school. How can the impact be
assessed?

The field experience helped improve
school morale. Teachers are sometimes
weary of asking questions about
technology because we do not have a full
time IT person on campus, so knowing
there are knowledgeable people they can
turn to is great. The impact can be
assessed because more teachers are using
more technology.
