Tuition Fees
Tuition fees of Rotman Commerce students may change/differ
by the college, the number of courses that are enrolled.
On average, annual tuition and ancillary fees for Rotman
Commerce students taking a regular course load (ie 5 full
credits per academic year) are as follows:

Prerequisites
When calculating average for admission, the
faculty of arts and science use the top four
highest marks after English (ENG4U) and
Calculus & Vectors (MCV4U).

Students are expected that all students will have


completed Advanced Functions as a co-requisite
or prerequisite for Calculus & Vectors.
Note: Rotman Commerce does not accept repeated
course.

How to Apply (OUAC)


Ontario high school applicants to Rotman Commerce
apply to the University of Toronto through the Ontario
Universities Application Centre(OUAC) in the OUAC 101
category. (www.ouac.on.ca)

To apply to Rotman Commerce through OUAC, you must


apply to the University of Toronto, select the Faculty of
Arts and Science at the St.George Campus and then
choose Rotman Commerce from the available program
list.
The links and how to apply will be sent out through
applicants email. (Early November)

Additional Fees
The supplemental application will be available online
in December and costs $50 CDN to complete.
Application fee can be paid through VISA and Master
Card. (Not refundable)

Specialist in Finance and Economics


The specialist in finance and economics is designed for those who wish to pursue graduate
studies or a career in finance or economics.

Faculty are drawn from the Rotman School of Management, the leading business school in
Canada for finance, and the faculty of arts and science, which boasts the nations top-ranked
economics department.

Rotman Commerce is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute Program Partner, an


internationally recognized designated certifying that the Rotman BCom has covered the
generally accepted body of knowledge required by CFAs.

The Specialist in Management is for students who are interested in management education more
broadly.

Students pursuing the Management Specialist may choose to concentrate in one of four areas

The flexibility of this program provides students with the room to pursue a minor, or even a
second major within the Faculty of Arts and Science.

Basic Requirements for Admission
All Ontario high school applicants are required to present six 4U/M
courses, including ENG4U and all prerequisites.
Failed and Repeated Courses
While recognizing that there may be valid reasons to repeat a
course, the University of Toronto reserves the right to give
preference to students whose marks are the result of a single
attempt at each course.
Timing and Process for Admission Decisions
Depending on the faculty, program of study, campus, and your
academic record, conditional offers of admission based on final
3U/M and interim or final 4U/M results, will be made between midFebruary and late May.

All offers of admission are conditional upon final results and


completing the Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

3. Life Science
Admission Information

1. Introduction

The enrollment number is approx. 1700 students


every year into the Life Sciences program.
Most students (~90%) aim to pursue graduate
studies after completion of their undergrad.
E.g. Medical school, graduate school, dental
school, etc.
It is known that science and mathematics are
taught at higher pace and difficulty at U of T
compared to other universities.

2. Curriculum

Life Sciences is a part of the Faculty of Arts and Science

1st Year: Students entering into life sciences all learn math,
chemistry, biology.

2nd Year: Students will select their specialist/major/minor and


continue studies in their respective programs.

There is a wide range of programs available for selection, and


there are a few that do not have biology and chemistry as prerequisites.

There are many programs that have research opportunities,


and allow students to truly understand their identity as a
student at a prestigious, world-class university.

The entrance average for the Life Sciences program is


low to mid 80s
However, studying is on average 4x more difficult than at
high school level.
