Warm-up game
Divide students into four groups. Each group wears matching
colored pinnies.
When students are tagged, they move outside of the activity
area. Students on the sideline perform an on-the-spot physical
activity (e.g., jumping jacks, squats, push-ups).
When the it group has tagged all members of the other two
groups, the leader stops the stopwatch and announces the time.
The game is repeated so that all groups have a chance to be it.
Group members work together to tag all members of the other
two groups in the shortest possible time. Groups try to beat their
times in the next round.

During the Learning Activity
4 station shooting exercise
Explain to students we are going to work
on the shooting drill from Tuesday!
I will quickly demonstrate 4 important
shooting tips. BEEF Base-feet shoulder width,
with leading leg slightly in front; Elbows upbring elbows up to shoulder height keeping
them in; Eyes- on the basket; Follow
through- reach into the cookie jar.
Tell students to aim for the backboard and
put backspin on the ball.
Split students into 4 groups of 8. With one
group at each basketball hoop.
Station 1students shoot from the right side
of the basket; station 2students shoot head
on to the basket; station 3students shoot
from the left side of the basket; station 4
students do a give and go with a shot on the
basket.
Students rotate every 2 min. 2 time through
each station.
Bump game
All students start at the free throw line
All players must attempt their first shot from this
point.
The first and second players in the line get a
basketball.
Play begins with the first person in line taking the
first shot.
After the 1st player shoots, the 2nd player may shoot.
If the first shot by a player is missed they must
follow their rebound and try to make a basket from
anywhere on the court
The game at this point is between player 1 and
player 2
If player 2 makes a shot before the first player, then
player 1 is bumped from the game.
If player 1 makes a shot, the ball should be
rebounder and immediately passed to the third
player in line. The contest is now between players 2
&3
Players may only touch their own ball. Students
cannot bump or touch another classmates ball.
