APA moot to make ties among Asian states stronger

LAHORE: Senator Mushahid Hussain hosted a dinner on Sunday for the delegates of the
seventh plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly starting from today
(Monday) at a local hotel.

As many as 126 parliamentarians from 25 Asian countries have reached Lahore to attend the
seventh plenary session of the APA, which was launched in 2004.

Briefly speaking to the delegates and the media, Mushahid Hussain, chairman of the organising
committee of the seventh plenary session of the APA, said it was the second time that Pakistan
was hosting the APA in the historic city of Lahore.

He said the APA session would augur well for the region and help cement relations among all
the Asian countries. Punjab Governor Muhammad Sarwar, senators and MPs also attended the
dinner.
