KARACHI: The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has outright rejected the order of
the Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Anti-Terrorist Court against Jang Group Editor-in-Chief Mir
Shakil-ur-Rahman.

Talking to this correspondent on Sunday, SCBA President Fazal Abbasi said that the decision
had been rejected keeping in view the legal requirements and judicial process. Since it is a matter
of court jurisdiction and basic rights, a strategy will be formed against it in the SCBA meeting,
he added. He said a deliberate attempt had been made to damage the popularity of Mir Shakil-urRahman through the decision.

He added that since it was a matter of severe violation of basic rights, it would also be discussed.
A meeting of the SCBAs Executive Committee is also scheduled in which a strategy will be
evolved on the travesty shown by the court.
