Summary of The Master


The Sugject of Master: Ottomans Position of the Portuguese ambitione in the east African
Port on the Indian Ocean at the beginning ot the modern age of Hijri / birth.
Goal Master: Highlighting the importance of the role of Ottomans in repelling the danger of
Portuguese From Muslin areas bordering the Indian Ocean From Hijri / birth especially east
Africa Coast .

Preface; Talking about genesis and composition of the State of Portugal, and the beginning of
the expansionist towards Africa and that what they have Known as an instantaneous geographic
alleged , with the clarification of religious and economic reasons for that .
Chapter I: It is entitled (Portuguese military campaigns on the coasts of the Indian Ocean ) it
talks about the overt portuguses Ieaders on bounties of the east and much of committing in order
to achieve their ambitions .

for the upcoming confrontation with the Portuguese.

consequences ) , where the beginnings showed intervention the Portuguese and then the Ottomans
in fighting which was between Islamic, and Abyssinian forces, that Ied to the entry of two major
states in fierce ware that took both excruciating and , finally, the results obtained trom those ware.
Conclusion : Included the most important findinge of the research, and one of which is that the
Ottomans did not shelve the threat of the Portuguese on coasts of the Indian Ocean in spite of the
difficulties and internal problems which faced them, also their involvement in several other fields
in the forefront of Europe, However, they did what was done, they closed the Red Sea compleely
excepting some Portuguese failed attempts in the face of the Portuguese, and they succeeded
in breaking the siege imposed by the Portuguese to the Indian Ocean and eased much of
Portuguese inpct on the coast of East Africa .
