17- NOR - LAYTIME AT LOADPORT
(A) IF NOTICE OF READINESS (NOR) IS TENDERED BEFORE 10 A.M. DURING
ORDINARY OFFICE HOURS (0700 TILL 1500 HRS) FROM SUNDAY TILL THURSDAY
LAYTIME WILL COMMENCE:AT 1300 HRS ON THE SAME DAY IF THE CARGO HOLDS ARE PASSED BY
INDEPENDENT SURVEYOR APPOINTED BY SUPPLIERS, OTHERWISE UPON
PASSING HOLDS INSPECTION.
(B) IF NOTICE OF READINESS (NOR) IS TENDERED AFTER 10 A.M. DURING
ORDINARY OFFICE HOURS (0700 TILL 1500 HRS) FROM SUNDAY TILL THURSDAY
LAYTIME WILL COMMENCE:AT 0800 HRS ON NEXT WORKING DAY IF THE CARGO HOLDS ARE PASSED BY
INDEPENDENT SURVEYOR APPOINTED BY SUPPLIERS, OTHERWISE UPON
PASSING HOLDS INSPECTION.
IF LOADING WORK IS COMMENCED PRIOR ACTUAL LAYTIME, HALF SUCH TIME
WORKED TO COUNT AS LAYTIME (TIME USED FOR LOADING DURING WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS ARE ALWAYS EXCLUDED FROM LAYTIME).
IF HOLDS INSPECTION IS FAILED BY THE INDEPENDENT SURVEYOR VESSEL
MUST RE-TENDER NOTICE OF READINESS WITHIN THE LAYDAYS AND ALL
PREVIOUS NOR'S WILL BE NULL AND VOID. NEVERTHELESS, IN CASE THE
VESSEL HOLDS ARE PASSED AFTER THE AGREED LAYDAYS, LAYTIME TO
COUNT
ONLY
UPON
ACTUAL
COMMENCEMENT
OF
LOADING.
(C) DRAFT SURVEY TIME NOT TO COUNT AS LAYTIME
18- NOR - LAYTIME AT DISCHARGE PORT
N.O.R. TO BE TENDERED ON VESSEL'S ARRIVAL AT SEA PILOT STATION.LAYTIME
TO COMMENCE 13:00 HRS THE SAME DAY IF N.O.R. IS TENDERED ON/BEFORE
NOON AND AT 08:00 HRS NEXT WORKING DAY IF N.O.R. IS TENDERED DURING
OFFICE HOURS AFTER 12:00 HRS. IF, AFTER TENDERING A NOR, THE VESSEL
FAILS TO OBTAIN FREE PRATIQUE OR CUSTOMS CLEARANCE, OR IS FOR ANY
REASON, WHATSOEVER UNFIT OR NOT FULLY READY TO DISCHARGE THE
CARGO, THEN N.O.R SHALL BE INVALID AND TIME SHALL NOT COUNT AS

TANKS, IF ANY. THE VESSEL SHALL CLEARLY CUT AND MARK ON SHELL
PLATING PLIMSOL AND OTHER DRAFT MARKS AMIDSHIPS, AND DRAFT MARKS
AT THE BOW AND STERN ON PORT AND STARBOARD SIDES. VESSEL TO FURNISH
CHARTERERS / SHIPPERS OR THEIR AGENT OR SURVEYOR A CAPACITY PLAN,
DISPLACEMENT SCALE, DEADWEIGHT SCALE AND ANY OTHER HYDROSTATIC
INFORMATION REQUIRED BY THE DRAFT SURVEYORS. THE MASTER MUST
CERTIFY THAT ALL DOCUMENTS SUPPLIED ARE CORRECT. AT PRELIMINARY
SURVEY, THE TOTAL QUANTITIES OF BALLAST BUNKERS, STORES ETC. ARE TO
REASONABLY AGREE WITH THE DEADWEIGHT INDICATED ON THE
DEADWEIGHT SCALE. VESSEL'S TRIM, WHEN CONDUCTING DRAFT SURVEYS TO
BE WITHIN THE RANGE COVERED BY CALIBRATING TRIM TABLES. THE OWNERS
SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ALL LOSS, DAMAGE AND EXPENSES CAUSED BY THE
VESSEL OR MASTER'S FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS CLAUSE.TIME LOST BY
REASON OF SUCH FAILURE SHALL NOT COUNT AS USED LAYTIME OR TIME ON
DEMURRAGE.
VSL MUST BE SUITABLE FOR CONDUCTING PROPER DRAFT SURVEY AND HV
AVAILABLE ALL HYDRISTATIC TABLES OR DIAGRAMS, CAPACITY AND
CALIBRATION TABLES FOR BALLAST, FUEL AND FW TANKS WITH
CORRECTIONS FOR TRIMMING AND HEELING EFFECTS. ALL DRAFT MARKS
MUST BE CLEARLY DESIGNATED (WELDED AND PAINTED). SOUNDING PIPES OF
BALLAST TANKS AND FW TANKS MUST BE FIT FOR MAKING MEASUREMENTS
I.E. EASILY ACCESSIBLE AND UNBLOCKED.
LOADPORT SURVEYOR: SHALL BE SGS OR ITS
28. VSL IS TO BE P&I COVERED, CLASSED HIGHEST LLOYD OR EQUIVALENT,
ISM CERTIFIED,IN POSESION OF EVERY CERTIFICATE REQUIRED FOR
INTERNATIONAL TRADE.
29- POLLUTION
SHIPOWNERS WARRANT THAT THE VESSEL IS FULLY INSURED AND CERTIFIED
FOR POLLUTION RISKS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RULES AND REGULATIONS
OF THE NATIONAL PORT AUTHORITIES RELEVANT TO THE TRADING UNDER
THIS CONTRACT. IN NO CASE SHALL SHIPPERS AND/OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE
FOR DEMURRAGE AS A RESULT OF SHIPOWNER FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH
SUCH RULES AND REGULATION
30. OWNS GTEE VSL IS BC/BRIDGE N ENG ROOM IS AFT, OPEN HATCH
CONBULKER. OWNS WARRANT VSL'S HOLDS ARE CLEAR OF ANY FITTING/
SUPERSTRUCTRS SUCH AS CARDECK, CURTAIN PLATES WHATSOEVER
31. OWNS GTEE VSL'S HATCHCOVERS ARE FULLY WATERTIGHT DURING THIS
VOYAGE
32. ARBITRATION IN SINGAPORE, ENGLISH LAWS APPLIED
33. HAGUE-VISBY RULES TO APPLY DURING THE CURRENCY OF THIS C/P
34. G/A PER YORK-ANTWERP RULES IN SINGAPORE.
