Miracles
Original Word:
Part of Speech: Noun Masculine
Transliteration: mopheth
Phonetic Spelling: (mo-faith')
Short Definition: wonders

There are approximately 36 miracles recorded by the

apostles in the gospels. John writes in 21:25: there were
many other things that Jesus did, which if they were
written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself
could not contain the books that would be written. Out of
31/2 years of ministry approximately 1400 days only 36
miracles were recorded, certainly Jesus could have
performed all these in one week or even one day. But the
authors were lead to pick out certain ones throughout His
ministry. Their emphasis was on Jesus, His teachings, His
communicating the nature of God to man
OT usage
Deut 13:1-3
If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams
arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, 2 and
the sign or the wonder comes true, concerning which he
spoke to you, saying, Let us go after other gods (whom you
have not known) and let us serve them, 3 you shall not
listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of
dreams; for the Lord your God is testing you to find out if
you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all
your soul
Isa. 35:3-6:
Strengthen the weak hands, And make firm
the feeble knees. Say to those who are fearful-hearted, Be
strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with
vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and
save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And
the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame
shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing.
For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams
in the desert.

Isa. 43:7-9: Everyone who is called by My name, whom I

have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have
made him. Bring out the blind people who have eyes, and
the deaf who have ears. Let all the nations be gathered
together, and let the people be assembled. Who among them
can declare this, and show us former things? Let them bring
out their witnesses, that they may be justified; or let
them hear and say, It is truth.

the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles
and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in
your midst, just as you yourselves know
iv.

Kingdom of God

The kingdom of God embraces all created intelligence, both

in heaven and earth that are willingly subject to the Lord
and are in fellowship with Him. The kingdom of God is,
therefore, universal in that it includes created angels and
men. It is eternal, as God is eternal, and it is spiritual
found within all born-again believers.
The kingdom of God is the rule of an eternal sovereign God
over all creatures and things (Psalm 103:19; Daniel 4:3)

OT-usage

The LORD has established His throne in the heavens, And His
sovereignty rules over all.
(Psalm 103:19)
"How great are His signs And how mighty are His wonders!
His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom And His dominion is
from generation to generation.
(Daniel 4:3)
NT-usage
Mar 1:15
and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the
kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the
gospel.
Luk 8:1
Soon afterwards, He began going around from one
city and village to another, proclaiming and preaching the
kingdom of God. The twelve were with Him,
Jhn 3:3
Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly,
I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the
kingdom of God.
Mat 3: 2Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mat 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the
kingdom of heaven.
Question: "What is the difference between the Kingdom of
God and the Kingdom of Heaven?"
Answer: While some believe that the Kingdom of God and
Kingdom of Heaven are referring to different things, it is
clear that both phrases are referring to the same thing.
The phrase kingdom of God occurs 68 times in 10 different
New Testament books, while kingdom of heaven occurs only
32 times, and only in the Gospel of Matthew. Based on
Matthews exclusive use of the phrase and the Jewish nature
of his Gospel, some interpreters have concluded that
Matthew was writing concerning the millennial kingdom while
the other New Testament authors were referring to the
universal kingdom. However, a closer study of the use of
the phrase reveals that this interpretation is in error.
Christ uses kingdom of heaven and kingdom of God
interchangeably. Then Jesus said to his disciples, I tell
you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the
kingdom of heaven (Matthew 19:23). In the very next
verse, Christ proclaims, Again I tell you, it is easier
for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a
rich man to enter the kingdom of God (verse 24). Jesus
makes no distinction between the two terms but seems to
consider them synonymous.

Luk 6:25
Woe to you who are well-fed now, for you shall
be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall mourn
and weep.
Rev 8:13
Then I looked, and I heard an eagle flying in
midheaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe to
those who dwell on the earth, because of the remaining
blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to
sound!
Question: "What are the three woes of Revelation?"
Answer: Woe means grief, anguish, affliction; the three
woes of Revelation are the final judgment God pronounces on
the evil inhabitants of the earth in order to spur them to
repentance (Revelation 9:20). The three woes are, indeed, a
time of great anguish and affliction for those who have
pledged their allegiance to the Antichrist during the end
times.

greater than Jonah is here.
John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My
word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and
does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death
into life. 25Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is
coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of
the Son of God, and those who hear will live. 26For just
as the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the
Son also to have life in Himself; 27and He gave Him
authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of
Man. 28Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in
which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, 29and
will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a
resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds
to a resurrection of judgment.
Rev 20:4
Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and
judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those
who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus
and because of the word of God, and those who had not
