ch.........chain
dc.........double crochet
hdc.......half double crochet

sl st.......slip stitch

Picot..ch 5, sl st in 4th ch from hook
Ch 8; join with sl st to form a ring.
Row 1: Ch 3, 19 dc in ring; join with sl st to top of beginning ch-3.
Row 2: *Ch 4, skip next dc, sc in next dc; repeat from * around ending with sc; ch 2,
hdc in base of first ch-4 to form last ch-4 sp.
Row 3: * Ch 5, sc in next ch-4 sp, repeat from * around ending with sc; ch 3,
hdc in base of first ch-5 to form last ch-5 sp.
Row 4: Ch 1, * 3 sc in same sp and in next ch-5 sp, work picot 4 times, ch 2; repeat
from * around; join with sl st to first sc, tie off. (10) 4 picot groups.
Row 5: With right side facing, join thread with sc in center (between second and third
picots) of any 4-picot group; ch 9, *sc in center of next 4-picot group, ch 9, repeat
from * around ending with ch-9; join with sl st to base of first ch-9.
Row 6: Ch 1, 9 sc in same sp and in each ch-9 around; join with sl st to first sc.
Row 7: Sl st to middle of 9 sc, Ch 15; sc to middle of next ch-9 space, ch 15, continue
around ending with ch 15; join at base of first ch-15.
Finish: Sl st to middle of ch-15, tie off leaving a tail long enough to gather loops, pulling
them up around neck of ornament.
