Rule: In words of more than one syallable, you just need the letter /u/ e.g. unicorn. Sometimes you need to add
another letter, /u_e/e.g. cube; or /ue/ e.g.Tuesday; or /ew/ e.g. few.

Moving Letters to Make Words

This is a hands-on approach to spelling.

First, practice making words with the sounds of letters.

Directions: Student cuts apart the letters on this page. Scramble the
letters. Parents say one word from the word box. The child uses individual
letters to spell each of the words in the word box.
Second, the child prints the word.
