Alex Trice Philosophy on Modern Education
My philosophy revolves around students bettering their understanding of the world that we live in through supportive programs and the use of technology. Like no other point in history students are carrying hand held learning devices and utilizing them regularly. As an educator I believe that students can maximize learning by utilizing technology applications that focus on core scientific concepts. American universities are demanding and todays student needs to be prepared to compete on a global scale. Through technology integration, not only can students see technical scientific processes carried out but can be part of the global scientific community by taking part in collaboration, communication, and the evaluation of data. I feel this is the future of scientific education in America. Methodologies and pedagogy that are proven to work in the classroom are critical for learner development as well. While technologies are only tools, effective teachers are those who can implement skills of research and study that utilize them effectively. Along with personal growth support by educators, students can have the ability understand and grow with their communities and the evolving technological landscape itself.
