Know the effects of the 19th amendment and effects of the Volstead Act during that time.
At the end of the unit many students will be able to define the effects both culturally and economically the effects of the
1920s
Students will be able to provide an adequate paper of their understanding of the different laws that occurred during that
time
Students will be able to showcase how the American landscape by providing examples in terms of a PowerPoint
presentation and giving an oral presentation of such examples
In the end of the unit many students will provide the significance of the decade in terms of major events both politically
and nationwide.
Unit Summary:
The unit will consist of providing basic information of the 1920s as well as providing a basic outline of key figures and key
events. Each lesson will consist of instruction on a mixture of using the whiteboard as well as a power point. Students will be
able to participate by answering questions as well as showing a understanding based on quizzes and classwork. Class will also
engaging by providing pop culture references in order for students to make the subject more easier to comprehend and as well
different examples to showcase an easier understanding of the decade.
