This article includes information from both law and medical perspectives. The article
talks about different abortion procedures, abortion controversy, and the issue of justice.
The article also mentions some history A.K.A. the Roe V. Wade case and other cases that
contributed to the decision of legal abortion. This source is proven to be reliable because
it is not biased and it was last updated June of 2014.
Abortion in the United States. Guttmacher.org. Guttmacher Institute, 1996-2015. Web. 17 Feb.
2015.
This article includes an abundant amount of general statistics about abortion as well as
information on teenage pregnancy and abortions. This information is extremely useful to
me because statistics are the basis of research papers and they also help back up my
argument. This source is reliable because it is straight facts and numbers and the
information comes directly from student research at the Guttmacher Institute.
Abortion-Reasons Women Choose Abortion. WebMD.com. Healthwise, Incorporated, 19952014. Web. 13 Feb. 2015.

This source contains a short article on the top six reasons why women choose to have
abortions and a couple of statistics that back up the reasons. The argument that I am
making is that abortion should be illegal and to make that argument I at least have to
know why women are having abortions. With that being said, this article is very useful to
me. This small article is a reliable source because at the end of the article it states that the
information was provided by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). It is also a good source
it is not biased in any way, it is strictly facts.
Blackman, Justice. Roe v. Wade (1973) Abortion, Right to Privacy. Streetlaw.org. Web. 16 Feb.
2015.
In this article, Justice Blackman gives a brief summary about the Roe v. Wade landmark
case of 1973. The short article gives knowledge about the story behind the actual court
case meaning how the court case came about. Not only does this article mention specific
names and details, but it is strictly facts and no opinions. This article will help continue to
my paper because it gives me background history on abortion. This source is extremely
reliable because the website Streetlaw gets its information directly from the Supreme
Courts. I also know the source is reliable and accurate because a teacher referred it to me
and explained that it was good to use.
Rosenfield, Allan, Sarah Iden, and Anne Drapkin Lyerly. Abortion: I. Medical Perspectives.
Galegroup.com. Gale, Cengage Learning, 2006. Web. 13 Feb. 2015.
Allan Rosenfield wrote a seven and a half page article on the medical perspectives of
abortion. This article includes information on the different abortion procedures, harmful
aspects of abortion, and statistics of deaths that have occurred because of an abortion.

The article is based off of the medical field perspective. This article is reliable because
at the end of the article it states that the basis of information was provided by The
Encyclopedia of Bioethics. It is also a safe article to use because it was updated in
2013.
Sykes, Margaret. Rape Justifies Abortion. Go.galegroup.com. Greenhaven Press, 2006. Web.
13 Feb. 2015.
This article is mainly about rape being the main reason for abortion. The article includes
a short story from a doctor that had a fourteen year old patient that had been raped and
wanted to get an abortion. Along with this, there is information on Reproductive Rights.
This article is extremely helpful because I now have information from a doctor and rape
victim and I can understand their point of view. This source is indeed reliable because it
is a form a totally different angle from all the other sources and the story included comes
from a real doctor. The article was last updated in 2013.
