Part II: Reflection

CANDIDATE REFLECTIONS:
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology facilitation and
leadership from completing this field experience?
This field experience required me to create and implement a project that was technology based. I
learned how to trouble shoot problems, plan a differentiated technology lesson, and assess
students needs with technology. The field experience helped me learn the necessary skills I need
to develop to work on a technology based project and have well rounded classroom management
skills.
2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you
be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs, enthusiasm) required of a technology
facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected in Part I. Use the
language of the PSC standards in your answer and reflect on all 3knowledge, skills, and
dispositions.)
This experience used my own technology skills to create a blended learning experience for my
students. It taught me how to effectively manage a classroom, and strategically plan for ways to
help my students in authentic and higher order thinking. It required me make sure that my
students had equitable access to technology and could navigate the technology safely and legally.
It taught me that students are excited about using technologies in the classroom and that I need to
find more ways to incorporate it into my classroom.
3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or
student learning at your school. How can the impact be assessed?
This experience impacted my students financial decision making ability and research abilities. It
helped teachers who may have been resistant to technology see all of the wonderful things that it
is capable of now. It can be assessed by look at the lesson plan project grades and the outlook of
the department now has on technology.
