Join this class for adults and learn what the new ways to create and share documents are all about.
How can this new technology help me? You no longer need to purchase Word, Excel, Outlook or
Powerpoint for the home and small business user! Google has created a suite of tools for the rest
of us to use to create word processing documents, spreadsheets, digital presentations and more.
The best news is that with GoogleApps, you can access your work from anywhere on any computer
because your account is linked to your Gmail and is saved in the Google Cloud! This workshop is
designed for the Google novice to learn the basics. GoogleApps is an integrated communication and
collaboration suite of tools created to help increase efficiency and collaboration. Class begins with
an introduction to using Chromebooks and setting up your Chrome browser. Topics will include:
Chromebooks vs laptops, basic navigation, ways to integrate Chromebooks and Google Apps into
your digital life, and how to use the word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and other key apps.
This is a hands on class so chromebooks will be available or you can bring your own laptop or
chromebook. All participants should have a Google email account (GMail) set up before the first
class in order to fully experience the class content. Cost is $135 per person.
