Today was again, a tiring but exciting day! Every Monday I always feel nervous, maybe
because I knew that I'll be facing new challenges, lessons, and observations. After I and my cotrainee put our bag in the pantry, we immediately disperse and go to our respective units. I and
my co-trainee was asked by Ms. Georgia to segregate the giveaways for the upcoming trainings
(Effective collaboration, effective communication, effective feedback, time management and
service first), we should get the exact number of giveaways in accordance to the number of
employee who will attend the following trainings. It's good to know that the company is taking
trainings seriously and making sure that the employee will benefit from the training. And as
usual, I did the clerical works. I printed certificates of the BITD-BASD and FNAC department to
recognize their participation in the YGC HR council outreach program then file those certificates
in the employees' respective 201 files. After that, I was asked again to photocopy the receiving
copy of the deposit slip and give it to the cash department. When the lunch ended, I was asked by
Ms. Alice to buy materials and create the announcement "signage" regarding the selection of the
best employee per department entitled "in pursuit of harmony". It's nice to know that the
company gives time, appreciate and recognize the employees efforts. And lastly, I ended the day
when I finished the last task given by Ms. Alice which is to ask for the employee's signatures of
the whole HR and GSPD department and this will serve as their attendance to the 2015 summer
outing that will be held on May 16. And I think this outing will strengthen their bond more and at
least, they would have the time to enjoy and release the stress from work for a moment.

Unlike yesterday, nothing much happened this Tuesday. So after I get in the office, I was
immediately ask by Ms. Alice to reproduce 10 copies of the MAP (Managerial Assessment of
Proficiency) workbook, well she said that we need 50 to 60 copies but the workbook has 60
pages back to back, so we've decided to reproduce 10 copies everyday to avoid breaking the
photocopy machine and that is what I did. I didn't notice that it's already lunch time when I
finished photocopying. And so after I had my lunch, I was asked again to go to BPI for the
confirmation of the other two employees regarding their attendance in the 2015 summer outing
and I send some files/documents to the receiver at the same time. And when I get back, since Ms.
Alice and Ms. Georgia are busy, I lend a hand to help the trainee in payroll unit to paste the
envelope enclosing the pay slip of the employees. And that's how my Tuesday ended.

Today is somehow a busy day but because I and my co-trainee are doing our tasks
separately, we are able to finish the tasks beforehand. So like my routine, I continued
reproducing 10 copies of the MAP workbook. And after I'm done photocopying, I printed 20
"Usapang Ginoo/Ginang/Binibini of the YGC Family Health Services" certificates of employees
to recognize that they finished answering and have fully understood the self-study training
regarding family health, after the certificates were printed, I file them to the employees'
respective 201 files. And then again, I reproduce 20 copies of ACT (Assessment of
Competencies and Traits) for the employees. And after I had my lunch and go back to work, Ms.
Alice asked me to prepare 15 neo kits (neo kit contains acknowledgment slip, client's
information, MICO benefits, work rules and code of ethics), 10 with MICO benefits and 5

without MICO benefits, after I had prepared the neo kits I curiously asked Ms. Alice why there
were 5 kits that doesn't contain MICO benefits, she said that those are project employee,
meaning they are temporary and most of them lasted only 6 months because after their project
they have to leave the company especially if they are not regularized. And after that, Ms. Alice
asked me if I had already answered a client's information sheet and I don't remember anything
about it, so she said that I and the other trainees should answer that immediately to avoid the
delay of our cheques. After I and the other trainees answered the client's information, I and my
co-trainee went down to give it together with the 1 employee's client information sheet.
I ask things which I don't understand them and especially when I got curious and like
what happened today, I get to know the reason why other employees doesn't have MICO
benefits, and like the other companies and from what I've learned before, usually the regular
employees were the only ones who have company benefits and it was different from temporary
or let's say "contractual" employees who are expected to leave the company after the project or
contract.

Today was kinda busy. But I wasn't able to continue my routine which is to reproduce 10 copies
of MAP because the toner of the photocopy machine is already empty and so I switched in
printing out the YGC family health certificates of the employees and file it on the employees'
respective 201 files. And after that Ms. Mae, an employee from recruitment unit talked to us
regarding with the changes of the department, that 2 of the trainees in the HR department will
have to go down and work their remaining hours in the cash department already and luckily I
wasn't chosen to leave but my partner or co-trainee was already assigned in the payroll unit and
the old trainee of the payroll unit was assigned in the cash department. And after that, I lend a
hand to help the other trainee in arranging and updating the MDR (Member Data Record) of the
employees. And after that, I and my co-trainees had our lunch. When I get back to work, Ms.
Georgia asked me to call and remind the following employees regarding the schedule of
rehearsals and shooting for the music video presentation for the upcoming birthday of YGC's

Chairwoman Helen Yuchengco Dee. And after I reminded them regarding the schedules, I was
advised by Ms. Alice to bind the MAP workbook using the Manual binder machine (I don't know
the real name of the machine, but it's a binder and is used manually) but because of the fire
incident in the savory which is near the office and I think which also cause the black out in the
whole building, we were dismissed earlier than before.
Again, same as before. If only unnecessary events like what I've experienced today were
avoided, I may accomplish many things and the work of the employees will also not be
interrupted.

Today, was again, a busy day though Ms. Georgia isn't around, I and Ms. Alice have to finish the
work. Early in the morning, I was ask by Ms. Alice to photocopy some file and she needed it by
9am and since the photocopy machine is not yet okay, I had to go to 10th floor to photcopy those
and then I went to BPI building to personally send them to the receiver. After I get back, and I
still had nothing to do yet, I asked Ms. Wilma, the secretary of YGC Head of HR council if she
needs help just ask me since her trainee is not around. After a few minutes, Ms. Wilma asked me
to photocopy some file and after I returned, she asked me again to go to RCBC and deposit 4
transactions. And when I get back, Ms. Alice asked me to check the list of names who already
did and didn't answer the YGC family health training, and also update the list. And after that, I
made three temporary ID's for the new employees. After I had my lunch, the new certificates
were printed out and ready to file to the employees' respective 201 files. Then after that, I initiate
to continue the MAP workbook to lessen the loads of my work. I bought materials for the
binding of the workbook. And after that, I heard that the photocopy machine is already working
properly so I asked Ms. Alice if I could continue reproducing copies of MAP workbook but since
the time isn't enough to finish it all, I was advised to continue it next week.
The whole week went well, but I noticed how the works get interrupted because of the
unnecessary incidents, well I think it really happens in the company but one more thing that I
noticed is on how a one unit head treats her secretary, well I'm not supposed to tell this I think,

because this doesn't affect me (because she's from the other unit) at all but i'm just bothered on
how she treats people sorrounds her, she's kinda hot tempered and she scold her secretary in front
of many employees with a really loud voice, maybe she's too old and stressed out that's why she's
acting that way. But for me, I think, if you want to get respect, you should also know how to
respect others, and based on my observation, many employees are aloof to her and didn't want
that unit head to get in their way, maybe to avoid the anger of that unit head. Anyway, I think if
she wanted to reprimand her secretary or other employees, she should do it in a professional way
and not by scolding and/or shaming the person.
