Identify and describe the Native Americans who


occupied the regions that became Carolina.

Lesson Description for Day:

Warm Up: Students will first write in their


journals what they think they know about the
Native Americans of NC thus far.
Lecture will consist of looking at maps of where
tribes settled and photos of tools Native
Americans used. I will also lecture about what
sets each tribe apart and their traditions. I will
also discuss how they use the tools
.
We will orally discuss what was learned and
answer questions.
Rest of the class period will be spent doing a
group activity
