Summary
I attended SUNY Broome and graduated in the spring of 2014 with my
Associates Degree in Applied Science of Education. I am currently attending
SUNY Cortland for their Education program to get a duel certification to teach
birth to sixth grade. I am on track to graduate in December of 2016 with a
Bachelors Degree in Education. I have previously been employed at a
interactive children's museum called The Discovery Center, located in
Binghamton, New York. I worked there through college for over two years. My
title was a Gallery Aide in the museum which involved helping in activities for
children and their families, birthday parties and summer camps. I am
hardworking, organized and creative which will help me in my future career
in Education.

Objectives
My goal is to obtain a career as a teacher in a birth to sixth grade classroom.
I would like to continue building my skills in creating lesson plans and
implementing the Common Core State Standards. I would strive to educate
my students and allow them to create a passion for learning. I hope to have
the opportunity to continually grow and enhance my skills as a teacher.

Along with my classes at Vestal High School, for my junior and senior year, I
attended BOCES's Education program to start earning college credits. I was
inducted as a member in the National Technical Honor Society during my first
year in this program and was a returning member for my second year at
BOCES. I also became a member of SkillsUSA, a national organization for
students to excel in their career field.

Working at this children's museum allowed me to interact with children and
families from many different backgrounds and cultures. I would create and
implement activities for the children, and work as a teacher's aide for the
summer camps. Some of my roles were greeting the families, cleaning the
museum, helping set up children's birthday parties and enhancing the
families experience while visiting the museum through exceptional customer
service.
