1. This article talked about the negative side of technology and how we shouldnt depend
too much on technology because it takes away from the thrill of amazement. If we
become adjusted to the brilliance of technology we will take ot for granted. When we
become habituated to the amazing technological achievements of recent years, we forget
to be thrilled and amazed. We lose that great sense of wonder, of awe. We take brilliance
for granted and so we ignore the human elements of fortitude, creativity, and
intelligence

2. This article opened my eyes to a new side of social media. It talked about how,
although selfies and social media may seem to be a waste of time and important, selfies
can build much needed self-confidence and self-worth. In the article some of the statistics
that were given showed the positive effects of social media. In the survey of more than
1,000 13- to 17-year-olds about how they view their digital lives, 28% said social
networking made them feel more outgoing versus 5% who said it made them feel less so;
and 29% said it made them feel less shy versus the 3% who said it made them feel more
introverted. When it comes to relationships with friends, more than half (52%) of teens

said social media has made them better versus just 4% who said it has negatively affected
those relationships.

3. In this article, it taught me that technology and social media can be used heavily of the
gathering of news. Many may not realize while they are scrolling through their twitter or
Instagram timeline that they are absorbing many of the main events that occurred that
day. Lee, who studies crucial aspects of social networking sites such as Facebook and
Twitter, recently completed three separate studies on how social media and social
networking influence perception, attitudes and behaviors. Social networking sites have
become a source of daily consumption for Internet users. As more people begin to
embrace these sites as extended news outlets, Lee explores social media as a primary
avenue for gathering news and political information and for formulating perceptions.

4. In this article, it talked about technology and how social media was reinventing the
way businesses are ran. This shows how social media has great positives that many can
benefit and produce income off of. I learned that Beyond advertising on Facebook or
Twitter, companies are using social networks to build teams that solve problems faster,
share information better among their employees and partners, bring customer ideas for
new product designs to market earlier, and redesign all kinds of corporate software. This
can benefit not only the companies but can benefit the community as well. I think this
shows that it can be helpful in ways that many might not know.

5. The impact of social media and internet all together has created new issues to discuss
in our generation. The media often report that intense use of the Internet increases the risk
of isolation, alienation, and withdrawal from society, but available evidence shows that
the Internet neither isolates people nor reduces their sociability; it actually increases
sociability, civic engagement, and the intensity of family and friendship relationships, in
all cultures. I believe that this article is showing us the true essence and worth of
technology. I found that technology can help improve ones interactions with others.
Because people are increasingly at ease in the Webs multidimensionality, marketers,
government, and civil society are migrating massively to the networks people construct
by themselves and for themselves. At root, social-networking entrepreneurs are really
selling spaces in which people can freely and autonomously construct their lives. Sites
that attempt to impede free communication are soon abandoned by many users in favor of
friendlier and less restricted spaces.
