To Whom It May Concern:
It is with great pleasure that I sit down to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Mr. Anthony Lewis.
Anthony was an outstanding student leader throughout his time at Dakota, both in fulfilling his recognized roles as
part of the student government, as well as in other ways as a student in the classroom. He is one of the most
intelligent, positive and charismatic students I have ever met. Having had the opportunity to work with him was a
wonderful experience.
Anthony demonstrated a number of strengths as a student leader at Dakota High School. His work ethic, attention
to detail and persistence are among his many positive attributes. Anthonys ability to balance his time with the
work required of maintaining an exemplary GPA with a demanding class load, student leadership as the student
government Executive Board President, and as a member of the varsity baseball team was truly remarkable.
Anthony not only participated in a variety of activities, he excelled in those activities, and demonstrated
outstanding leadership skills in everything he did. There is no way to measure the positive impact that he had on
the students of Dakota High School in the four short years he was here.
Anthony has an innate ability to communicate with students and adults in a manner that puts others at ease, which
in turn helps him convey his message clearly. In addition to his exceptional communication skills, Anthony also
possesses the unique ability to be able to understand other peoples point of view, and work with them to solve
problems. He is assertive, yet not aggressive. He has an understanding of people and the world around him that is
far beyond his years, which I feel helps makes him an exceptional leader, and an exceptional young man.
Although I have had little experience in working with Anthony in a professional setting, I have no doubt that he is
the type of person with the character and other vital personal qualities that will make him an outstanding teacher.
He is a compassionate young man who wholeheartedly dedicates himself to whatever endeavors he chooses to
pursue. I am confident that he will bring a strong student-centered and professional approach to his work as an
educator.
I strongly believe that Mr. Anthony Lewis will be an asset to any school district that is fortunate enough to offer him
the opportunity to work with its students in the classroom. If additional information should be required, please do
not hesitate to contact me. I can be reached at (586) 723-2708, or by electronic mail at kkoskos@cvs.k12.mi.us.
Sincerely,

Kevin W. Koskos
