PRESS RELEASE
RE:

Maya Eibschitz Tsimhoni v. Omer Tsimhoni

Oakland County Case Number 2009-766749-DM

After more than 5 years in court, and dozens of court appearances, Dr. Eibschitz-Tsimhoni is
continuing to demonstrate her disregard for the well-being of the children and disrespect for the law and
due process. She has been required to show cause for her failure to follow the courts orders and is now
choosing to exploit the privacy of the children via the media.
This situation is traumatic for everyone involved, and it is unfortunate that the children are in
shelter care due to the actions of their mother. Dr. Eibschitz-Tsimhoni has continued to endorse the
childrens behavior that she successfully instilled in them, effectively alienating them from their father.
The court took severe action to attempt to remedy a heart-wrenching situation, solely created by Dr.
Eibschitz-Tsimhoni.
Mr. Tsimhoni has great respect for the court and the legal system. He is a loving, caring father
who desires a healthy relationship with his children. He has spent the past five (5) years combatting
unsubstantiated and false claims made by Dr. Eibschitz-Tsimhoni, in an effort to salvage his relationship
with the children. The complete court record is not adequately represented by the one day in court that
has been brought to the attention of various media outlets. Mr. Tsimhoni desires a resolution to the
current circumstances that would allow his children to live in a healthy home and not the Childrens
Village. Moreover, the children have experienced legal counsel, including a court appointed Guardian
Ad Litem, William Lansat, who has represented their best interests for the past several years. In addition,
Judge Gorcyca appointed each of the minor children individual attorneys on June 24, 2015, before placing
the children in shelter care at Childrens Village with other neglected children. Those lawyers include
Jeffrey Schwartz, Karen Cook and Michael Dean, none of whom objected to the childrens placement.
To discuss the fate of the three (3) minor children involved in this traumatic situation in the media
does not serve the childrens best interests. The court of law is the appropriate venue. Photographs of the
Tsimhoni children should not be posted online, put in the newspaper or on television, as it does not
benefit them in any way, and erodes whatever privacy they have left.
