Disease: Rubella

Source: Any person who is affected by this virus

Signs: Tiny pink spots, Pink spots on face, Pink spots on neck, Pink spots
spreading to body, Red throat, Rash

Symptoms: Headache, Shivering, Malaise, Lassitude, Temporary joint stiffness

Prevention:
1. Rubella vaccination
2. MMR vaccination - this contains the rubella vaccine.
3. Passive rubella immunization - possibly useful for non-immune pregnant
women who have been exposed.
4. Rubella blood test prior to conception - non-immune women may need
to be vaccinated before conception; but cannot be vaccinated if
pregnant or possibly-pregnant.

Treatments:
1. Symptomatic and supportive treatment
2. Bed rest
3. Fluids
4. Normal diet
5. Mild pain relief - if needed

fungi, classified as yeasts

Mode of Adhesion: Capsule

Disease: Hypopigmentation and symptomatic scalp rash

Source: humans and on the skin of most animals

Signs:
1. A large swollen bump or mass
2. Pus-filled blisters that break open and crust over
3. Possible scars once the infection clears
4. Clusters of small red bumps that develop around hair follicles
5. Pus-filled blisters that break open and crust over
6. Red and inflamed skin

Symptoms:
1. Itchiness or tenderness
2. Pain

Treatments: selenium disulfide, ciclopirox olamine, coal tar, zinc pyrithione


(ZPT), miconazole
