Noche Flamenca
Noche Flamenca dance; directed by Solange Gomes. July 17,
2015. Grand theatre, Salt Lake community college, the Tablado Dance
Company presents flamenco in its traditional and modern forms to the Salt
Lake City community through high quality dancing by Spanish musicians and
songs. It sponsored by: Academic and Career Advising peer Mentoring
programing Una Mano Amiga. Co-sponsored by: SLCC School of Arts&
Media SLCC Staff Association. There were so many dances with diverse
styles played throughout the occasion. The dancers were shown with
enormous beauty shown in their costume and dance throughout event. The
flamenco is a folk an art and culture from Spain. It was particular to province
of Andalusia in Spain. Flamenco dance, has been the musical outlet of poor
and oppressed in there society. It is a tripartite art, involving singing, dance,
and guitar. There are different types of flamenco. For example Seguiriyas,
Alegrias, Malaguenas, Soleares, Caf Catante, fandangos, and so many
others. Flamenco dance origined go back to the 16th century.
