The overview

There are 10 -13 students in the group, several joining in some time after the course
has started. The course is 2 weeks (at least with these teachers) but certainly some
of the students will continue taking classes. They believe that learning with a
teacher is very valuable and they seem to appreciate the fact that they can learn
collaboratively and help each other.
They are learning English for different purposes (some are looking at opportunities
at studying here), which requires them to take an exam, some only want to be able
to understand and use the language in their workplace. However, all the students
need to work on their accuracy and fluency.
They are a group of mixed abilities, learning styles and backgrounds. Some want to
write down everything and expect to be given explicit information, some hardly ever
take notes, some are visual some auditory learners. They are very open towards
new learning experiences and responding positively to the variety of activities
offered in class.
