3 artist analysis (9 photos)

The artist sections that you have completed are good but the
analysis is a little brief. You must use the word frames
provided and make sure to use photographic vocabulary when
analysing images. It is key that you think about all the different
parts that make up the image. Also you have only looked at
two artists

As Above more in-depth analysis is needed. Also it would be


good if you could separate your analysis into separate
columns under the chosen picture.

The analysis is good but as mentioned above please can you


separate it into columns.

Bernd And Hilla Becher (3 photos)

Where is this section

Force of nature

A sound section of images but you must put up your edits so I


can mark it properly. Also missing a second response.

Applied force

A sound section of images your use of a shallow depth of field


in the chalk images really works well. The melon pictures are
good but I think your framing could have been better straight
from above would have had more impact maybe think about
reshooting with maybe a smaller fruit.

Imposing architecture

It is difficult to mark this section as you have not put up any


edits you must do this. Also where is your second response?

3 strands

The three strands are good and I like the use of a giff to
demonstrate destruction. But as mentioned with the melon you
need to work on your framing the cup and the bottle would
have been better shot close and straight on to highlight the
destruction. I like the chemical work and feel that this could
defiantly be developed more particularly the giff side of the
development. Using a tripod and a fixed focal length would
benefit the development.

You demonstrate a good understanding of the techniques


looked at in class but more refinement needs to take place
between your first and second responses.

Composition

On the whole your composition is good but I would like you to


get closer in some of your images. Also as mentioned
experiment with your framing.

Location and subject matter

I would like you to push yourself to find more interesting


locations beyond school and your house. There are loads of
local places so try and be more adventurous in your choices.

3 final images

The final set of images are rather confusing and dont really
correspond with your three strand development.
I think you should focus on the chemicals in water and develop
that strand further in the studio using lights and a plain
background.

A sound project but you must go back and make the changes that I have mentioned; this will raise the final grade of the
