In tides, Sun, Earth, and Moon are
involved in the process.
The revolution of Moon is one of the
causes of tides.

Problem
Recent Condition:
Barbados fresh water is contaminated by
rising sea levels and is affected by
climate change that caused a drought.
Ideal Condition:
Everyone in Barbados can access fresh
water easily.
No droughts.

Objective
To solve the water crisis in Barbados
by taking advantage of tides

Detailed Problem
Location: Barbados
Cause: Climate change -> Caused a
drought
Data: Allocation: 210 m3/ person/year,
below the UN standard which is 1,000 m3/
person/year
The current potable supply is 15,000
gallons per year with 13% of precipitation
More demands on fresh water

Government Solutions
Rain water harvesting: Capture and store
rain water for use and source of water
because Barbados is a water scarce
country
They make education about rain
harvesting and tried as hard as they can
to collect more water

Solution
Our solution is a device called
perforene. We are going to take the
seawater in a full moon so we can
get it easier because of the tides.
We will filter it and add it to the
water supply for Barbados and
hopefully solve their water scarce
problem

Evaluation
Because it is thin and very durable,
we can filter the water easily and it
will use less energy to filter it.
It takes less energy to push seawater
through the filter with the force
required to separate salt from water.
This is 500 times thinner than the
best filters on the market and a
thousand times more powerful.

Conclusion
We hope to facilitate the access and
search of clean water to communities
in Barbados because fresh water is
very hard to find and their water
supply is very low. We also hope that
Barbados does not exist in the
country category in the water scarce
state after the activity is executed

 How can full moon help society?

We can take advantage of the tides like
what we do in our solution.
Relation: We can know when to do our
activities by knowing the structure of
Sun, Earth, and Moon with the effects
from the phenomena.
The change of structure of Sun, Earth,
and Moon system can cause a different
phenomenon.
