Educational Statistics at a Glance is a
handbook which presents statistical data on
important
educational
indicators,
different
parametersofschoolandhighereducation,budgetary
expenditure on education, population, literacy etc.
Mostofthedatainthehandbookisalreadycontained
invariouspublicationsoftheMinistry.
Attempthasbeenmadetopresenttimeseries
data on number of institutions, enrolment as well as
important indicators like Gross Enrolment Ratio,
GenderParityIndexandPupilTeacherRatio.
It is our constant endeavour to improve the
handbook. Further, suggestions/comments/changes,
if any, for improving the handbook are always
welcomeandmaybesenttotheStatisticsDivisionin
