At a young age, I watched fashion shows and desired to one day showcase my

clothes with such glamour and class. I would cut pieces of fabric to make doll
clothes and sew it up with a needle and thread. I enjoyed this a lot and eventually
decided that I would be a tailor. Unfortunately, after observing my environment, I
perceived that tailoring was not considered a worthy occupation and opted for
something that would earn me respect.
Being analytical, I decided to pursue a course in industrial mathematics and
even though I enjoyed it, it could not hold my interest for long. While in school, I
picked a course in fashion design. Although it was an introductory course I was
blown away and desired to pursue it.
Upon graduation, during the compulsory one year service to Nigeria, I was
posted to northern Nigeria as a teacher. I took up part time lessons at a tailors shop
and in less than two months I had to take over the shop as my teacher had to return
home after the completion of her service year to Nigeria. Then I was forced into the
world of tailoring, a few sketches here and there, online materials I struggled to
do almost everything.
After my service year I moved back to Lagos state where I reside and started a
tailoring business from my room. I realized overtime that to be the best in my
chosen field, I must equip myself with all the knowledge I can gather I discovered
the international fashion academy Paris online during one of my searches and knew
immediately that I had found my place. What better place to learn, grow and live
than Paris, the fashion capital of the world? I believe IFA Paris is the place that will
catapult me to my place among the stars and I eagerly look forward to it.
