1 Scope & Purpose
This covers the guideline to exercise control over the generation, checking and approval of all basic
and detail engineering activities relating to the Piping Group such that the design output meets the
desired quality requirements. The purpose of this document is
1.1 Tolist all outputs to be generated and inputs required by Piping Group,
1.2 Assigning the activities to appropriate and qualified piping personnel.
1.3 Toexercise control over the flow of information to and from Piping Group during various
stages of engineering.

3 Organisation- Piping Group
3.1 Scope & Application:
‘This section of the document describes the organizational structure of Piping Group. It also defines the
responsibilities and functions of the various categories of the personnel in Piping Group.
3.2 Group Structure:

4 Piping Discipline Working Guide
4.1 Introduction
‘This guide supplements the procedures detailed in the Local Office Instructions (LOI's). It does not
supersedes or replace these LOI’s, instead this guide is meant to be aide-memoir in the generation of
deliverables, and to ensure that consistency is achieved across the board.
4.2 Piping Deliverables
4.2.1 Prior to the commencement of any project, a thorough search and review of design codes,
recommended practices, engineering standards etc must be undertaken to ensure that these
are incorporated into the project as required. This is to include ERD’s, SP's, DEP’s, API's,
BS’s etc. For Detail Engineering Project. FEED package shall be reviewed & necessary
queries shall be addressed at the beginning of project. Lead engineer is responsible to
prepare group work instruction for the major projects as per Appendix ~A
42.2 Alll deliverables must be SDC checked before being circulated on IDC to the disciplines.
