Description
This site is an archive of government findings
on the effect that technology has in the
classroom. It is run by the U. S. Department of
Education, and open to public view so that the
general public can be more aware of what is
going on in schools. That being said, the
audience of the site is that general public, as
well as some politicians, so that everyone will
be more knowledgeable.
This information is useful to me because, as a
future high school teacher, I will be working
with some of the most tech savvy youths of our
improve my teaching.
This is an article posted on Forbes. Forbes is
one of the leading resources (though somewhat
of a popularized one) on the modern world of
business. Though it focuses on business, the
audience includes teachers and students alike.
The author of the article, Jordan Shapiro is a
professor at Temple University, where he writes
part of their core curriculum for reading,
writing, and the like.
This information and critique of the current
technological trends are important to me
because it not only points out the flaws, but
offers solutions. As teachers, we will find many
flaws in a thing, but often dont know how to
fix it. This offers a solution, albeit to a very

specific problem.
