What is the pay like?
Use: Conversation piece about sustainability careers.
The animal program teaches students about the
independent relationships between animals and their
environments and how it affects their survival. In the
either half or full day orienteering program, students
learn how to effectively navigate park terrain using
maps and other tactical skills.
Use: hands-on learning and experience for students
interested in outdoor-Ed based opportunities.
A colourful and pleasant info-graphic that displays
employment information in the oil and gas industries in
Canada. It provides several average incomes for popular
industry jobs, including average intern-level income.
Use: visual tool could be used a classroom poster.
This program is composed of 40 hours in-course and at
least 35 hours of volunteer time to acquire the skills and
knowledge surrounding recycling, composting,
managing waste, and waste reduction.
Use: extremely valuable out of school hands-on learning,
experience and volunteer hours for students.
This brain challenges users of all ages to categorize
upwards of 20 different items/resources into what
category they belong (for example: renewable
resources, non-renewable resources, elemental sources,
etc.). This game is a great introduction to topics
contained within natural resources understanding that
it is a broad field.
Use: fun quizzing style game to test students
knowledge of categorizing natural resources.
