The article reports the biography of Nelson Mandela and his great achievements during
his lifetime. It states facts about Mandela's childhood, education, and his rise into joining
the African National Congress (ANC). He later became a leader of a large armed
resistance movement called "The spear of the nation". The article also reports Mandela's
life in jail and his rise to becoming the president of South Africa.

armed resistance movement.

reports one of Mandela's most significant events of his life, when he was sentenced to
prison on Robben Island.

many unfair laws in order to promote equality.

he was born into a royal family in 1918. It states that Mandela also attended the only
black school in South Africa and how he became a lawyer.
