Computer literacy is an important skill that students need to foster to
have a successful academic future and be successful individuals in
society. The schools need to provide students opportunities to develop
these skills in the course of teaching core subjects, integrate
technology in daily learning and practices.
The data shows that students achieve higher when computers are
integrated in learning in the classroom. The computers function best
to revise and practice. Also using computers in classroom develop
students typing skills.
CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.
The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using
telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

Describe teachers' current access to instructional technology and current use of

digital tools.
How does technology assist teachers and principals with their administrative
tasks, attendance and grading?
Computer is a main tool at school for all teachers and administrators.
Teachers do their lesson plans on computers, they use database for
attendance, grading and discipline purposes, also check their email to
communicate with each other and parents and students. Teachers also
can share files, documents in school using web share, and do any online
search for instructional necessities.

How does technology assist with student assessment?

Students do online home works and assessments on computer at
home or at school. They also directly assesses using computer
such as CoGat Test or NWEA Map Testing. All district assessment
sand practice tests are scanned and uploaded to software for
analyzing purposes. The technology helps sorting the data out
clearly to see how students do in general.
Describe students' current access to instructional technology and current use of
digital tools. Include a description about the LEA policy, practices, and/or
replacement policy that ensures equitable technology access for all students.

Is technology currently available to all students?

All students have access to technology in the campus. What type

of technology they are using differs according to their age. K-2
grade students use IPads for practice and software usage.
However upper gardes use chrome books and computers.
Does access differ for different subpopulations of students?
Some subpopulations have more access to technology in the campus than
others. SPE students use computers, IPads, and smart board for everyday
activities, on the other hand general education students dont have as
much access as SPED students.
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for using
technology to improve teaching and learning. Describe how these goals align to
the LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe how the
LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether future funding
proposals or partnerships may be needed for successful implementation.
How will your curricular goals and needs influence your technology goals?
As a low income and high at risk populated campus, we are aware that the
parents cannot provide support to our students at home. This increases
the gap between our students and where they need to be. For this reason
we need to teach and practice more at the same amount of time as other
public schools to enable our students to catch up state standards.
Practicing more in less time is possible integrating technology to
instruction which increases the number of computers needed at campus.
How are you redesigning learning spaces to support the LEA curricular goals?

The school staff is working on small group instructions and stations in the
classroom to make instruction more individualized and need oriented.
Therefore each classroom will be a small computer lab where students
can have access to everything in one place for accessibility purposes.
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, to address
Internet Safety and the appropriate and ethical use of technology in the
classroom.
What are the LEAs curriculum goals and plans for assisting students to meet
technology literacy and information literacy skills?
Starting from kindergarten students take technology classes to learn to
use computer technology.
How are students using online communication technologies, including but not
limited to social networking and instant messaging?
Students are not allowed to use communication tools or instant messaging
during school hours, they have access to those resources at their home.
The kids are educated how to use these communication tools safely in
technology classes.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT
The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

Summary of the teachers' and administrators' current technology proficiency and

integration skills and needs for professional development.
How does your LEA regularly assess teachers ability to utilize technology in a
standards-based curriculum?
Administrators make observations informed and uninformed to classrooms
and during these observations they also assess teachers ability to use
technology for curriculum instruction besides their classroom management
skills, teaching skills.
What do teachers and administrators consider as their needs for professional
development?

Depending on the experience in profession the needs differ in teachers for

professional developments. Young teachers are competent in technology
usage and integrating it in education, however they need professional
development how to teach content area and classroom management. The
experience teachers are good at classroom management and traditional
instruction methods, they need training how to use newly adopted
software for practicing.
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for providing
professional development opportunities based on your LEA needs assessment
data and the Curriculum Component of the plan.

How will teachers and administrators be trained and provided on-going

support in the effective integration of technology into the curriculum?
The teachers will start professional developments at the beginning of the
year with most basic needs and information. During academic year they
will be provided extra support according to their needs. IT manager in
campus, Assistant Principals, and in case of needed more help trainers
from the companies are invited to campus for the trainings needed.

What professional learning will be available so teachers and

administrators can effectively use technology to assist with student
assessment?
The teachers will be provided training on how to use software for their
area of teaching, how to assign students and how to monitor their growth.
As it is needed teachers will get training on how to use the technology
they are given.
