Annotated Bibliography; Effects of Freshwater Pollution z

Thesis= Pollution affects every species lives, including humans and it is only getting worse.
"Water Treatment Solutions." Introduction to Freshwater Pollution in Its Ecosystem. Lenntech
BV . Web. 17 Sept. 2015.
On the Lenntech website there is a very descriptive and well organized list of facts and
examples of water pollution and how it effects the habitat around it. It gives plenty of
information for me to support and describe the topic of water pollution. The website talks about
what specific animals are impacted by certain types of pollution and how it is maintained. It also
gives the types of species that are more delicate than others when coming in contact with
particular bacteria. The source also explains technical aspects, and statistics about the quantity
of bacteria being deposited into freshwater habitats and how the area around bodies of freshwater
influence the amount of pollution or bacteria. The Lenntech website is an above average source
for this topic and it will help find surplus information about this topic.

Water Pollution. (Kiril Kalchev HdM Stuttgart 2013). Retrieved September 22, 2015.
The video explains how freshwater pollution does not just effect animals in the
habitat, but it also can give us humans an unclean water source. The video describes how billions of
people are effected by water pollution because they have no access at all to clean water. The source

shows that many countries discharge their sewage, untouched or filtered, into rivers and lakes and how
that leads to organic pollution, which spreads bacteria and disease. Shows how that can lead to many
deseeded species and even humans. The video explains how non organic substances, such as heavy
metals and chemical waste poison the fish and pass it down through the food chain to humans. The
source explains what specific type of materials are the most dangerous when they are put into the
environment.

2015.
The source gives several different types of pollutants and how each one of them
effects the world separately. Something unique about this source is that it explains exactly how these
pollutants spread, and where they typically come from. The source shows what certain areas are more
prone to pollution and why. The source also describes that pollution into the environment does not
benefit our agriculture soil used to grow foods. The source shows a very unique way of how some
pollutants can be airborne and how that is harder to prevent. It explains how organic and inorganic
elements are different, and how they both affect the environment. The source provides a surplus amount
of information making it a superior source to get information about water pollution from.
