Qualified Political Parties in CA

Libertarian Party
Libertarian solutions are the most practical and workable for strengthening our economy and
governing our state. If they had been employed during the last decade, our state would be
strong and not in a deficit. Thus, Libertarians work to:

Reduce government spending;

Reform public employee pensions, which are bankrupting cities, counties and the state;

Promote private business development, which will create jobs;

Privatize government services that are best delivered by cost-effective providers;

Guarantee equal treatment under the law for all Californians;

Regulate marijuana like wine for adults, thus making it less available to minors; and

Adopt a part-time Legislature.

The Libertarian Party has candidates who will make these reforms, such as our Presidential
candidate Gary Johnson, but first they need your support in this upcoming election.

American Independent Party

The American Independent Party is the party of ordered liberty in a nation under God. We
believe in strict adherence to written law. We believe the Constitution is the contract America
has with itself. Its willful distortion has led to the violation of our Tenth Amendment guaranteed
right to limited governmentwhich inevitably requires oppressive taxation. Its faithful
application will lift that burden.
Freed from the lawless oppression of Liberal rule, we may then compassionately and justly use
our energy and ingenuity to provide for ourselves and our families. We will then establish truly
free and responsible enterprise and reassert the basic human right to property.
We believe in protecting all human life however weak, defenseless, or disheartened; endorse
the family as the essential bulwark of liberty, compassion, responsibility, and industry; and
declare the family's right and responsibility to nurture, discipline, and educate their children.
We assert the absolute, concurrent Second Amendment guaranteed individual right to self
defense coupled with a strong common defense, a common defense which requires a national
sovereignty not damaged by imprudent treaties. We oppose all illegal immigration.
We support secure borders and immigration policies inviting the best of the world to join us in
freedom.

Republican Party
We all know Washington is brokenwe see it every day. Californians are suffering because of
it.
The entrenched interests that control Sacramento and Washington are leading our state, and
the nation, in the wrong direction. California's economy is lagging far behind the rest of the
country, costing us jobs, reducing our quality of life, and making it harder for families to get by.
Families are being broken up as too many younger Californians are forced to find opportunities
elsewhere.
It doesn't have to be this way.
Our Republican ticket led by Mitt Romney and Elizabeth Emken will work hard to end the
gridlock in Washington to help small businesses create jobs, give Californians new choices in
education and health care, get water to our Central Valley farmers, and put an end to spiraling
spending and debt that mortgage our childrens future.
The Republican Party is focused on the key issues of today: making taxes simple and fair,
reforming and protecting pensions, expanding options for education and health care, and
protecting public safety and our national defense.

Democratic Party
Democrats believe the success of our economy is rooted in the well-being of working families,
not on Wall Street.
President Obama's strong leadership and unwavering commitment to the American middle
class allowed our nation to meet its challenges head on, even when others were calling on
government to do nothing.
Instead of letting the American auto industry go bankrupt, President Obama and Democrats
stepped forward to save jobs and an entire industry.
Instead of allowing health care costs to continue to rise, President Obama and Democrats in
Congress passed historic health reform, protecting health care for those who have it and
extending coverage to many more.
We believe that schools and local public safety are important priorities that must be protected.
And we believe that our democratic system thrives only when all Americans have a voice in the
process, not when billionaires and corporate interests enjoy special exemptions that allow
them to buy our elections.
With your help, Democrats will continue to develop bold, innovative solutions to our nation's
challenges.

Amidst climate change and historic income inequality, the Green Party stands for green energy

Peace and Freedom Party

The Peace and Freedom Party is a working-class party in a country run by and for the wealthy
and their corporations. We should not have to sacrifice our health, our livelihoods and our
planet for our bosses profits. We can tax the rich, whose wealth is entirely created by workers,
to pay for the people's needs. We favor:

Decent jobs and full labor rights for all.

Free education for all from preschool through the university.

Free health care for everyone.

Good services for disabled people.

Bringing all troops home now.

Ending all discrimination.

Full rights for immigrants.

Real democracy and fair political representation.

Restoring and protecting the environment.

As long as our system puts the wealthy first, we will suffer war, police brutality, low wages,
unsafe workplaces and pollution. We advocate socialism, which we see as the ownership and
democratic control of the economy by working people. If we join together to take back our
industries and natural resources, we can work together democratically and cooperatively for
the common good, rather than being slaves to the rich and their corporations.
