Reading Response #2

The literacy narrative I read, was about a boy who grew to be a strong reader and
writer with the help of his family, especially his mother. At a young age, Caleb
started practicing vocabulary with this mother for vocabulary tests throughout his
elementary school life. The narrative gradually moves on to his middle school days,
where he talks about the hardest paper he was ever assigned.
I enjoyed this narrative, because the author uses embarrassing times and humorous
times to help create his narrative. In this narrative the author goes from not liking
reading and writing and not being very good at it, to being a strong reader and
writer. In the authors conclusion, he, as most, do not enjoy writing in his free time
or as a career. Although the author did not want to be a writer when he grew up, he
learned to appreciate and not have a hate for reading and writing.
