WelcometoApproachestoUniversityWriting!InaccordwiththeBasicSkillsGeneral
Educationrequirement,thepurposeofthiscourseistoenablestudentstoanalyzeandreflecton
complextopics,andappropriatelysynthesizetheirownandothersideainclearlywrittenand
wellorganizededitedAmericanEnglish.Inthiscourse,youwilllearnhowtocompose
expositoryprosewritingwithafocusonbothcontentandform.Specificemphasesshallinclude
theexerciseoflogicalthoughtandclearexpression,thedevelopmentofeffectiveorganizational
strategies,andtheappropriategatheringandutilizationofevidence.Inadditiontotheelements
ofprosestyle,thiscoursewillalsofeature
instructionondiction,syntax,andgrammar.Students
