What is 3D
Printing?

by Latifah

A 3D printer creates a
tangible model using
plastics flexible
materials. 3d printing is
a process of making
three dimensional solid
objects from a digital
file. First, the printing
process starts with
making a virtual design
of the object that will
print. The virtual design
is mad by using
Computer Aided
Design.

What is
Wireless
Power?

By Latifah

Wireless power is an energy transfer from a power source to an

electrical load without interconnecting wires to charge a batteries.
Wireless power is useful technology when interconnecting wires are
inconvenient or impossible. The wireless technology is now in the
market place. For, example Powermat (wireless power in the market
now) which can charge three devices at one time. Wireless power
can be used in the classroom to allow the user to move anywhere.

What is Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)?

What Googles virtual field trips look like

in the classroom

A virtual field trips give students in the

classroom an opportunity to explore and see
places or thigs that are not normally seen in the
classroom. Hector Camacho allowed his high
school students to explore the New York Stock

Exchange, Federal Reserve banks, and the

Google Expeditions are field trips

with a virtual reality twist

Bring your own device (BYOD) , also called BYOT ( bring your own
technology) which means allowing people to bring their own smart phone,
tablet, or laptop to the classroom. A company has observed their
employee who bring their own devices has been increasing. When the
companies allow their employees to bring their own devices, they found
that up to five million hours of productivity gains. A 2013 Cisco Partner
Network Study found that BYOD practices is increasing in education and
over 95% of educators surveyed responded that they use their own device
for work purposes.

The catch? Students were plugged into

Googles latest virtual reality creation
Expeditions, which creates immersive,
360-degree tours out of a cardboard
viewer and a smartphone.
