Currently 1,198 (as of 11/1/2015)
Increase CNU_Career Twitter followers to 800 (19% increase)
Currently 674 (as of 11/1/2015)
Increase cnu_career Instagram followers to 350 (69% increase)
Currently 207 (as of 11/1/2015)

PLAN OF ACTION & EXECUTION SCHEDULE

In pursuit of these challenging objectives, the Center for Career Planning interns will host a social media contest,
starting November 1st and ending November 7th. Our target market of CNU students active on social media engages
in content that is relevant to their CNU experience and involves an incentive. With this understanding, we will
provide students with an opportunity to win CCP swag items by liking/following our page on at least one of
our social media platforms.
On November 9th, we will choose 3 winners from each social media platform (3 from Facebook, 3 from Twitter, and
3 from Instagram) to receive a CCP swag item.
To make this contest relevant to the average CNU student, we will feature childhood photos of campus celebrities
every day of the contest and prompt students to guess who is in these photos. We will include a brief statement of
what the featured individual wanted to be when they grew up in each of these posts, still fitting with our Career
Planning brand. Our hope is that students will engage with the content through likes, comments, favorites, and
retweets but our primary task is to get them to like/follow our page/account. We will reveal each celebritys
identity on Monday, November 9th at 12:00 PM along with a reminder for winners to claim a prize.
We will need to collect campus celebrity photos between October 23rd and November 3rd by reaching out to an
approved list of candidates via email. During that week we will also need to release several announcements about
the upcoming contest through social media as well as have a small handout available in our office. Since we are
targeting students who do not follow us on social media, interns will also post flyers around campus and promote
the contest through personal channels (i.e. intern accounts & student orgs).
Guesses, comments, and shares do not necessarily improve a participants chances of winning. However, we may
give special consideration to students who like/follow our page AND engage in contest content.
Swag items (3 padfolios, 3 selfie sticks, & 3 Camelbacks) will be available for pick-up in the Center for Career
Planning Intern Office the week of November 7th 11th and will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.

SUCCESS METRICS
During the week of November 7th, several interns will meet to evaluate the success of the contest and discuss any
areas for improvement for future contests/promotions. We will also seek feedback from multiple staff members
and use that to shape our recommendations moving forward.
