Once the Zeide was traveling on a plane with his grandson. This grandson was treating him
with the utmost respect and this impressed a fellow traveler. After a while, the traveler
commented that he is very taken by the grandson’s respectful behavior and bemoaned that such
comportment is unheard of in his circles. The Zeide explained:
You believe that the earth is 65,000,000 years old and was inhabited by scary green dinosaurs,
thus your grandson thinks of you as a scary green dinosaur. We are not sure if we believe the
earth is 65,000,000 years old but it may as well be. Some of us do and some of us don’t, it
depends who you ask. In any case, if there were dinosaurs they were only purple ones who
loved everybody.

Numerous studies that were conducted at my daughter’s gan have confirmed beyond a shadow
of a doubt that lice can, indeed, spontaneously generate.
and
I didn’t believe myself that there was such a thing as a mouse that is half flesh and half dirt until
I met some of my critics. They convinced me, all right.
